AICE Media Studies

Today I finished editing. My group needed music. I let Ryan pick out the music. He then sent me the music. I only used some of the music. This is because they were not all good. I then added the good ones to the iMovie. I did not edit yesterday. I decided to edit today. I decided to do this because my group would be together. It is easier to edit with everyone there. This is because my group talks to each other. iMovie worked very well for this. I used my MacBook to access my text messages. I used these messages to make the collaboration process easier. I would make edits and then ask my group what they thought. The transitions were the hardest parts to edit. We did not think about how we would transition between each shot. These shots may need to be re-filmed. Overall I feel that the movie looks very good, but I am going to get more opinions. 

 I finished filming the rest of the scenes with Ryan! We filmed these final scenes at my house. I decided that we only needed a couple of people for the rest of the scenes. Ryan and I live pretty close to each other but both griffin and nick are both at least 20 minutes away. This makes it harder to schedule. It was unexpected that we wouldn't finish our filming in a single day. Once we filmed the scenes I was able to put them onto my computer. I decided to use iMovie again. This is the best choice for me because I am in the apple ecosystem so it is easier to work with. I also am familiar with the program as I have used it for the past two projects and some personal videos. I started by trimming most of the clips down as you could hear me saying "go" at the start of every clip. I also had to go through the many takes to make sure we had the right clips that we wanted to use. towards the end of filming the clips started to look like they were taken way later than the first

 We were finally able to film. We got most of the shots we needed. The shots we got look great. Overall we had a very successful day of filming. I started by taking the drone out of the case. When it was in the air I started recording the establishing shot. While I did this griffin filmed the over the shoulder shot. I then drove the bad guy's car into the frame as other bad guys got out of the car. We then had our friend film all of us running down the hallway. 1/2 of the team went up the stairs to get to the running scene. The other half went into the elevator. We filmed the scene of the bad guys busting into the door. When the president was found we had our other friend film so we could all be in the shot. As we took the president away we had a bad guy die. We did this because we realized that there wouldn't be enough of us to play the president's protection. We were supposed to film over the weekend. Unfortunately I have come down with a cold. My throad burns and my nose is very stuffy. I have been drinking hot tea and taking hot showers to speed up the recovery process. Due to this cold I am not able to film. I feel really bad that I am unable to film. I have some essential props and costumes that are needed to film. I also have the drone that we need for the establishing shot. The group was not able to film any scenes as I am the director and normally control most scenes from behind the camera. Before I got sick I was able to visit where we will be filming. While there I found many spots to film. There are three different elevators. I found that I could take off with the drone from the sidewalk and make it to the apartment without any problems. I will keep practicing in hopes of getting good enough to land on the balcony. I will still practice with the drone even being sick. I will not be near anyone so I don't have to worry about ge

 For us to have a successful day of filming we need to have all of our stuff ready to go. The first tink I got ready was the drone. I did this by getting it fully charged along with charging the monitor that will allow me to fly it so close to the building. The next thing I will get ready is the bad guy's costumes. These costumes include head socks, tight black clothing, and dark gloves along with dark shoes. I will order the headstocks and gloves on amazon. each group member already has their own version of the tight black clothing. The weapons that we will use will be portrayed as plastic replicas and nerf weapons. We will use these in order to add a scene with a nerf dart hitting one of the bad guys and taking him out. The next prop we need to use is a piece of rope. This will be a short piece of boat rope that my group mate will bring.  Something I really want to get right for this sequence is the establishing/overhead shot using the drone. In order to capture the drone shot I will need to pilot the drone at the correct height while keeping the shot smooth. I want to capture this in a single shot. I have been practicing for this shot for at least 1 hour per day. I will continue to practice until the day we shoot. Drones offer a unique perspective that will allow me to capture cool aerial shots and create more feelings that would be hard to capture any other way. However, it is important to approach drone flying with caution and responsibility. I must be aware of my surroundings and follow all safety guidelines and regulations. It is also crucial to plan out shots in advance and have a clear vision for the final product. I planned out my shots using the storyboard. I have visited the location where I will shoot multiple times. This allows me to understand where I need to fly to capture the best shot. I will use cinem

  On page 1 the bad guys are using a drone in order to find the president's room in order to calculate his exact location, this will serve as our establishing shot because it shows the main location.   On page 2 the bad guys are using separate ways  of ascending their way to the president's room, they split up to scout for the president's protection this scene will use lots of medium-long shots.   On page 3 the bad guys make their way into the president's room and find him lounging on his balcony, after they see the president, they capture him and start to bring him down this will include first-person shots.   On page 4, they are met with the president's protection forces and trade lethal blows until they enter the elevator this will include long shots and over-the-shoulder shots.   On page 5 they get the president into the getaway car while losing more of their men, they are then able to transfer the president to the safe house where they deliver th
