Critical Reflection

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O0VTLlQLWBdyy2RgmPyYrZ3gUuE0eIcPHJsCuxOJ3Us/edit?usp=sharing The choices made by the main character represent a person of a lesser socioeconomic status. Due to his financial disadvantage, he must eat a non nutritious breakfast and work harder than others. Most people have full racing crews that take care of their cars for them, these cars may belong to a single driver or could be split between a team of drivers. The main character must take care of his car by himself. This is a reminder of the unequal distribution of resources and opportunities in society, where some people are fortunate enough to have access to riches and resources, while others find it difficult to get by. The main characters' dreams represent the luxuries someone of a higher socioeconomic status would have. You can see cars that are worth four to five times the amount of money as well as the ability they get to drive during the night. This is usually only allowed to be perfo

Getting Everything Wraped Up

Image
Everything is done. I refilmed what needed to be done. I fixed the audio issues. I decided we needed commentary over the racing footage. Watching the whole thing in order it flows well. I had to fix parts. I also added more dialogue that fixed the storyline. It was choppy and hard to follow. I feel it is way easier to understand what is going on. I had other people watch it as well. Most of them suggested I add parts in between scenes to give more context. The hardest part was lining up the audio. This was crucial in the racing scenes as I passed another driver or shifted the audio changes. It was fun to look back on my old footage. My driving has changed drastically since they were filmed. The movie didn't stick 100% to the storyboard. When we started actually filming we found it would be hard to fit so much into such a little amount of time. Overall I feel it turned out great. I am very happy with the group I chose. We all worked very well with each other.

Editing

Image
I edited today. I used iMovie. I started by putting all of the clips in. I then trimmed them down. I had to change some of the audio. I used the iMovie sounds. I cut the sounds down. I need to film more shots. I will film these today. I added edits. The transitions smooth it out a lot. I need to re-film the dog shots. You can see Ryan's reflection. I need to add more racing footage. Griffin will narrate the clips. I will then add his voice to the movie. I hope this will come together well. I am excited to see how it turns out. I feel it will be great. Everything is falling into place.

I Found A New Racecar

Image
I found a new racecar. My old racecar was black. This car is white. They are the same year. The cars are exactly the same. They are just different colors. The new car also has a manual transmission so I will not need to change it. I think the white makes the car look more aggressive and fast. There is only one other white race car on the track with me. The new car has lots of fancy options. There are manual shades on the rear windows. There is an automatic shade on the rear glass. There is also a cutout in the dash for a lap timer. This car needs some engine work. it is down by about 30 horsepower. This is an easy fix. The engine needs to be cleaned. I also need to move all of the parts from the old racecar to the new one. I am going to make this car super nice. Once I strip the interior I will cut all of the screws and studs still sticking up. I will then paint the floor to give it an even finish. I am in love with the new car and am excited to start working on it.

Filming Again

Image
I filmed again. I brought all the props and costumes. For this film session, we needed the worker's costumes. I brought these costumes for the cast. These were the same costumes from the previous filming. I also brought the car to "work on". I had everyone meet at the warehouse. I put the car on the lift. I had to use race ramps to get it on the lift. There are arms that have to go under the car. The car is too low to put these arms under. That's what the ramps do. Once the car was on the lift I made sure it was locked. The car could fall without these locks. This is very dangerous. We filmed lots of scenes. These included all of the scenes that we previously filmed wrong. We also filmed all of the outside shots. We chose to get them all filmed in a single day so the weather was consistent. Overall it was a great day of filming, but we underestimated how long it would take to film. This means we need to have another day of filming.

Getting All The Fine Details Worked Out

Image
It takes a lot of preparation and focus to make my film. There is a lot of work to be done to ensure that everything goes according to plan with two shooting days scheduled. These are a few of the additional elements I had to think about when organizing my five-minute video. I still needed to figure out the specifics even after deciding on the precise locations for both interior and outdoor scenarios that I would be recording. Before filming at any place, I had to make sure I obtained permission to do so and that I complied with all local laws. I then have to think about the time of day I'll be filming each scene and make plans appropriately. Make sure that I possess all the required apparatus, such as cameras, lighting, and audio equipment. Verify the availability of each and every person involved in my movie on the days we have set aside for filming. Keep shared equipment and surfaces that are often touched clean and sterilized regularly. Hand sanitizer should be available at al
