Getting Everything Wraped Up

Everything is done. I refilmed what needed to be done. I fixed the audio issues. I decided we needed commentary over the racing footage. Watching the whole thing in order it flows well. I had to fix parts. I also added more dialogue that fixed the storyline. It was choppy and hard to follow. I feel it is way easier to understand what is going on. I had other people watch it as well. Most of them suggested I add parts in between scenes to give more context. The hardest part was lining up the audio. This was crucial in the racing scenes as I passed another driver or shifted the audio changes. It was fun to look back on my old footage. My driving has changed drastically since they were filmed. The movie didn't stick 100% to the storyboard. When we started actually filming we found it would be hard to fit so much into such a little amount of time. Overall I feel it turned out great. I am very happy with the group I chose. We all worked very well with each other.

Re-filming

 Baised on the reviews I recieved I decided to re film. I wanted to only refilm the necessary shots. I quickly found that this would be difficult. The first thing I did was make sure my group had all of the costumes and props. Ryan was responsible for the costumes for the president and one of the bad guys. Griffin was responsible for bringing a costume for a bad guy along with one of the good guys. Nick brought a costume for each along with the bandana. I was responsible for bringing the camera, the drone, and a few extra costumes. The forecast for the day was different from when we had originally filmed. This ment that we had to re film all of the shots that you could see the sky. These shots included the drone shot and all of the shots in the presidents house. I focused on starting each shot and ending them with a little bit of movement. I decided to do this to speed up the editing process. Final editing

Today I finished editing.  This is hopefully the last editing I will have to do! I used different music this time. The music that I used last time was not as good for the new type of editing. The movement at the end of the shots changed the flow. It was noticeably smoother. I used lots of fades and wipe transitions. I do not like iMovie for the transitions. The rest of the program is excellent. The transition was not a deal breaker. Re-filming was definitely a great idea. The reviews gave us great ideas and what to make sure we focused on. This made editing way easier. I did not have to spend lots of time equalizing the audio. The dialogue was easy to hear. We took multiple takes of dialogue to ensure we had everything. I sorted through and found the best of each. I then had to add the titles. The titles were not hard to add and only took me a minute to fully add them. Overall I think that the movie turned out great and the editing was improved greatly.

Finishing up Editing

Today I finished editing. My group needed music. I let Ryan pick out the music. He then sent me the music. I only used some of the music. This is because they were not all good. I then added the good ones to the iMovie. I did not edit yesterday. I decided to edit today. I decided to do this because my group would be together. It is easier to edit with everyone there. This is because my group talks to each other. iMovie worked very well for this. I used my MacBook to access my text messages. I used these messages to make the collaboration process easier. I would make edits and then ask my group what they thought. The transitions were the hardest parts to edit. We did not think about how we would transition between each shot. These shots may need to be re-filmed. Overall I feel that the movie looks very good, but I am going to get more opinions.
