The first thing I had to figure out was where to film. I wanted to find a place where it felt like an older man lived. Even though this effect would be impacted by the costumes I wanted a setting that helped the story's development. The most important part of our video is telling a story. By picking the location that we did we allowed ourselves to say to this story of a regretful man in greater detail. This will also make the video more enjoyable to watch. Ryans' house was perfect for this effect. He has a large open floor plan allowing us to film the more complicated shots in a single try. There is also a double-sink bathroom giving us more room to film. This being so close to the bedroom will allow us to have a shot of the actor walking to the bathroom. The only problem with Ryans' house may be his room. He has football players on the walls and a giant Green Bay Packers logo on his wall.   This week I have been working on gathering all the props we will need to use when filming. The first thing I tried to find was a box big enough for one of us to fit in so that we could t urn into a Rocketship . I ended up finding the box at my mom's job and was able to get an extra in case we me ss ed up when cutting. I will be able to use my current notebooks that I use every day as staged props that will not be interacted with. I was able t o g e t a cheap p h o t o a l b u m t h a t w i l l b e t h e c e n t e r p o i n t o f the video . I will be able to use this to hold the pictures that will act as the transition points of the video. To do this, I will need to take pictures of my groupmates in the same positions and then have them start the vi deo in the same position.   Scene 1: For the beginning shot of the music video , we will utilize a medium shot . This will allow us to get a complete view of the main character as well as the bed he is in. This shows us both c haracter and setting.     Scene 2: Following this shot, we will use a tracking shot that follows the old man walking out of his room. This will highlight the movement of the scene, as he exits his room. This motions into the next scene.   Scene 3: In the third shot , the camera orientation wi ll be set in a medium close - up . We will see a more in- depth view of the old man and his emotions, as well as the setting he’s interacting with.   Scene 4:   For this scene, we will use an editing tactic called fade showing him taking pills to highlight his age then we can fade out into the next scene. Scene 5 : An establishing shot will be used in this scene to get a wide scene of his room which will be messy to show his struggles and t ough life.   ...

  Props: Main props used within this video are notebooks , a bed, and several other assorted household items. Mainly items connected with childhood. These will be used to rekindle memories and will serve as transitionary elements for the video. For example, a bike can be used to transition to a scene concerning biking when the older person was younger. Overall, props are integral to our project and an assortment of them will be used.   Costumes: Our entire group needs costumes for this video. The focus of the costumes is to give allusion of an older version of ourse lves. Our family members present in the video will also need costumes to perform their parts. None of the outfits in the video will be formal but will opt for a more comfortable casual appearance.       Schedule:     We will use the 14 th through the 18 th of  November as a planning period to fine-tune the main layout of the music video.
