Collecting Costumes

The next task I had to complete was getting the costumes ready. The first costume that will be shown is an Olderman's pajamas. In order to capture the desired effect of the costume I bought a blue pajama set in a medium size. This will give the effect of an older single man living by himself. The actor will wear this costume for the first half of the video. The next costume is one that the actor will only wear for two scenes. This costume will consist of younger people's clothes. This costume will be worn by an actor or multiple actors while they play around the cardboard Rocketship that I previously made. I got this costume at the same place I got the photo album. To have the photos in the albums, we will pose in the starting position of the scene and later print them and put them into the album. This will allow us to zoom into the photos later and fix the sequence in editing. The next costume that needs to be present in the video is a younger child's pajamas. This costume will be in the scene where the mother sings the child a bedtime story. The camera will have a cut to an overhead angle of the child falling asleep while singing the final lines of the song. This will be a call back to the beginning of the video where the same man from the beginning is waking up. This will simulate the feeling that the man never “grew up” and was reminiscing on the feeling of being little again. In this scene, there will be another costume present. The actor's mom will stand by the bed and sing him a bedtime story dressed in long pajamas. To capture the nostalgic feeling of a bedtime story the “mom” will stand at the end of the bed with the camera capturing both actors at one time. As she exits the room, she will turn the light off signaling the end of the video.
