Filming
Ryan and I filmed today! I got to the filming location at 2:00pm and waited 3 minutes for my group to arrive. The first shot I filmed was of the actor waking up and turning his alarm off. This shot took 6 tries to get right. The actor and I kept laughing in the middle of the shot and it would cause us to have to restart the shot. The next shot we filmed was of the actor putting on his robe and entering the hallway. This shot was tough due to the mirror at the end, we did not realize that the mirror was in the shot until we rewatched the clips. The shot of him in the bathroom was also tough to film due to the same circumstance with mirrors. I was able to stand at an angle that was not visible in the mirror. We then remembered that we needed to print the pictures before filming the shot of opening the photo album. We used the actor's younger brother to simulate the effect that the actor was having flashbacks. We first took photos of the “younger" version of the actor, we then printed the pictures and put them into the photo album. The shot of the actor walking through the hallway was an easy shot to film, but the high traffic in
the area posed a challenge. We had to re-fil the shot a couple of times to get a clear shot without any family members in the background. The next shot we filmed was of the actor opening the photo album. I stood on the couch behind the actor to get the correct angle that we needed. We may need to re-shoot the zoom shots to make sure we can have a smooth transition to each shot. The easiest shots to film were with the actor's little brother because it allowed us to focus heavily and not start laughing. Our friend was able to play the little kid's father and helped a lot during our shooting. I filmed all the shots of the little version of the actor at a higher angle to exaggerate the allusion that it is of the actor when they were little.
