Reviewing What Was Filmed

 I took a look at what was filmed. Some of it was great. The cameras did a great job of capturing everything. The lighting in some areas needs some tweaking. I also need to work on my acting. In many clips, you can see me start to smile and laugh where I should not be. This occurs in many of the inside shots. A really cool angle we found was around the suspension while I was working on the brakes. The costumes really add to what is going on. I found some old AirPods and dirtied them up. This adds to the realism. All of the tools look really good in the clips. The sound could use some work. I will focus on tweaking it while editing. I will be using iMovie again to edit. I am most familiar with this platform. I will continue to look at all of the clips. Some will need to be re-filmed. I will make notes of these scenes. When re-filming and continuing to film I now have a baseline of what to look for while filming to avoid making these same mistakes.

Sound Design

 As a young filmmaker, I was always intrigued by the creative process of putting together a short film. I had experimented in several parts of filmmaking, but one area where I lacked experience was sound design. I had always imagined that sound in a film was simply added in post-production, but I quickly understood that it was much more than that. I immediately realized that sound is an essential component of the filmmaking process and may have a significant influence on the overall quality of the picture. With this revelation, I decided to take on the task of selecting sounds for my current short film production.
